I agree that the back would do better with a bigger speaker. But, if I buy a pair of 4" for the back (which are currently blown) then I can always move them to the front and buy some 5.25" for the back. I would just buy the larger rear speakers but: a) I'm poor b) Working on a car during winter isn't any fun.

Really good price. I believe those go for around 80 at Circuit City. You'll love the sound over stock. Winter - Yes, it sucks.

I am about to install these speakers. I haven't taken out the stock ones yet so this may become evident when I do... but how do I tell the positive wire from the negative?

Arg... there isn't enough clearance between the plastic trunk panelling and the speaker box to fit the speaker... I guess i'm going to have to multilate my trunk sides.

I went with the inifinit reference component system in the front 4" & then 4" infiniti reference 2 ways in the back & 2 Kenwood 12's with a XTANT 1000 watt rms amp. it sounded great. ran the highs off my JVC 50X4 kameleon deck.

The back seat has to be removed. Then you take out the side panels.. and voila.. access.

The back seat has to be removed. Then you take out the side panels.. and voila.. access. DEAD WRONG. WRS - Those covers that cover them? They pull right off. They're held on by clips. Just pull them off, and you have access to the speakers and speaker boxes. When I changed mine, I pulled the brake light cover off and unscrewed the brake light. Then pull the covers off of the speakers. Then CAREFULLY lift the corkbored cover up (it's really fragile) and you have access to the speakers and speaker boxes. From there it's pretty easy to put it all back together. Just go slow, and be nice to stuff back there. The sun dries it all out and it's all really fragile by now. BTW, 4in fit the rear boxes. 5in MIGHT fit.

You haven't seen how mine is set up. If I followed your instructions, I'd have to break some parts. That's just stupid, imo.
