Yes it will work you will just need to make some wires longer to reach & stuff. or you could just put the 1st gen intake on it

So you can swap a 1G USDM 3SGE for a 2G JDM 3SGE and hook it up to the USDM ECU and wiring harness without having to change anything other than some wire lengths?

Use the USDM 1st gen intake and you have to change nothing. The problem with all of this? No noticable gains. I've looked at that engine, I really wish that I could pick it up for my GTS.

the second gen intake is the beter intake but you are going to have to do some fabrication... I did a 2nd gen swap some conectors do need to be changed!! the moust basic ones are the distruter for the crank angel. the Throtal positoning sensor. and if you whant to use the jdm injectors. (210 cc) if you dont have thes parts you can cut them off of a junk 90 wahtever toyota. plus the idel control on a 1gen vs a 2nd gen is vastly difrent. plus the 2nd gen has no cold start injector!! NOTE a 3SGE swap an a gt ecu will be disaster!!! if you have a celica gt so maney of the sensors are so difrent! that it will not run right!!!

ohh I forgot.. this is the same place I got my 3rd gen. it was reley clean!! and I got a great price!! no "waht ifs" or damged goods. the guy is straght up!
