Dame I'm so mad. I was saving some money on the side to get my car ready for the next SCCA race. But last night some stupid gang members broke into my Flower shop. Estemated damage $2000. Thinks to some punks I have to miss another race event. Good luck to you guys on the track.

Well it's ready for the rollcage, then it's a matter of soarcing an engine and transmission, with harness and ecu. I origanally wanted to swap out my GTS engine, but am having to much fun auto-xing that car to sacrifice it just yet. So it's most likely finding another GTS donor car and/or JDM replacement, just to get things up and running. The donor car idea is probably my best bet, as I could use more struts, hubs, and brake assemblies, not to mention body parts, racing has a way of tearing stuff up you know. racerb

racerb,
I am confused you have a 87 gts that you are hanging up to build a 86 2s-e? It seems like we have the exact opposite projects going on right now.

I think that he is going for the lightest body possbile, and that's the reason that he is building up his GT. I know that he planes to swap the 3S-GE into it, but I'm not sure what else.

Which is lighter... the liftback or the coupe? Coupe is more rigid. I have no idea on the weight numbers.

Hey guys I'm building a GT for it's weight, but using all GTS running gear, engine, trans, and brakes. With this set-up I'm looking at roughly 100-150 lbs lighter, rules show 2435 on it without driver. racerb
