i know how you feel. my celi's been down for two months and the closer i get to getting it fixed the more i realize just how big a part of my life it was for the last year. that or maybe cuz its my first car...i haven't yet decided.

My celica was my first car too...and even after i bought a '94 acura integra gsr 5 speed (and blew the head), i still prefered driving my celica. Granted...its a GT auto (soon to be 5 speed)...its the first car that i can say ive wrenched the work on myself...im begining to know it inside and out. Its not just the fact that im so close to the car, its the fact that its the FIRST car im so close to. Whenever im behind the wheel...im in control of a machine that, for the most part, has never let me down. Friends come and go, but my celica has always been there for me.
As lame as that is, its true.

when mine has problems, thats the way i am. right now my only probs may be a few oil leaks and ac being out, but even that anoys the shit out of me. when i have money, it goes into building up the celi, i can always find a reason to rationalize it too, but if it was anything else, i cant come around to spending the money. 9600, the things you said go for me too, cept havin a second car and the auto part of coarse

my celica is like a depresed girl on a diet.. up dwon up down. it down on the ground... then its up on jack stands. the last time was the longest. january 3rd to september 15th. but in that time the car got reworked in a lot of ways. I am all moust completley finished with all repaiers...
thear is a difrence in the 4th gen celica V.S. other cars... I have not meet a person that has sead "man I hated my 1986/89 celica" but I have heard things like "waht kind for car... ohh man I had one I loved that car!" " best car evear I should have never goten rid of it!!" " I beat the $hit out of mine!!! and it still runs!!" hell one of my frend saw my car on stands and started to cry. his mom had the same car when he was a kid. when she sold it he cried all day.
so waht gives... simple. the car is grate. its stylish. a one of a kind shape, the intirior is comftabule and suportive, a good driving position. it was the first AWD car from japan! (subaru makes that clame but its not true) it went head to head with the lancia delta. and won!! the frame is 10 years ahead of its time!! I have a 1998 3sge. in my 87. and it fits like a charme! but the 4th gen celica needs to be saved. the tuning world is killing the old celica. the new tuners whant the newest cars with the cheepest must plentifull parts. I buy a flywheel and some headers. and for the same price a kid gets flywheel/6puck cluth headers/exsust,intake a bodey kit and NOS. its nice to have a big list of shit. but wahts the point? his 40$ cluth burnt out. his headers are all bling and no flow (looked good till the crome roted off) and with his "cliped springs" the bodey kit is wrecked. and he keeps burning oil with his 75 dry shot. well he still has his "nismo aem mugen racing skyline type R". you know the one made by honda.. ... kids like that are killing the old cars. exsept for the carolla kids think thay are taku in inital d or wahtever.
you can buy a 4th gen runing for 800/1000/ not runing for 250 remove the motor put in an updated 3sge and have your self a 17 year old car that still can compeat with the rsx. have you sean the look on the face of a guy that just lost in frount of all of his frends to a 18 year old celica? they wahnt to die, and start looking for your NOS tank.. but you dont have one..
in 7 years the celica will be listed as a clasic... by 2010 we might see 4th gen celicas on display next to 69 camaros. this can hapen if we keep them all alive. or show pepol how amazing the car was by racing it. then... pepol take notice... waht would happen if modifed mag/superstreet/importtuner/ect has photos of the first celica one make race in phinix. from a 4gcelica net meet... waht would hapen then??
