I'm so excited! Yesterday around 4:00 PM, Jerad, the guy who was going to sell me a GT-S but found another seller called me. He told me his other seller backed out, and that I could buy the car. So I convinced my dad to ride with me so that he could drive the '88 GT that we took back, and we made it to Portland in a little over 3 and a half hours after stopping for money at the ATMs. I test drove the car and I loved it. It's got some problems, but nothing major, and I ended up getting the car for $1,500! ;D Here's some pics. Exterior shots...this car needs a detail, but the original red paint looks surprisingly good. This is the majority of the car's body damage. There were small dents on the passenger side fenders(front and rear), but they were too small to be able to photograph well. Here's the engine bay. The engine pulls great and the tranny feels awesome! Here are the interior shots...both front seats show signs of wear badly, and there's a rip in the top of one of the backseats, but other than that and the deteriorating steering wheel, the rest looks good.

congrats coomer! I think it was a good buy primarily because the car was maintained for the most part by a toyota dealership. That usually means alot more money was put in. Its sweet that you got the leather interior, but patching it up is going to cost a pretty penny. I bought my white 87 for $2k usd almost 8 months ago and it was definitely in poorer shape than the one you got. there was rust on the panels and the body was leaking some water as the passenger side carpet was moist. Only good thing was the engine had been overbored to 2.2l and rebuilt with oversized pistons. It pulls nicely and has quite a bit of get up and go. Aaahh.. i want a low km body so i can swap the engine over.
