Hey Racerb I am sure you have already addressed this problem, but I need to get rid of my rev limiter. No one seems to mess with the computers though. One guy said to get a HKSFCD but it looks like it is only for turbos. Any suggestions. I expect to be runnning into the 7000 rpm range.

Hey the only unit I've ever had much success with is the MSD-6AL, it comes with an assortment of plug in chips they call pills. These pills are the rev limit settings for your system, and you can order the ones you want for your needs. MSD also offers a dial type rev limiter that just plugs in to the same pill slot in the side of the 6AL, but it is not really practicle for a street car. We ran the dial limiter on our last racecar and would adjust it for the type of race we planed on running (sprint or enduro). You said you wanted to up your rev limit, but did you want to eliminate the speed limiter or rev limit, if speed limiter is what you want, it's a very simple process. It consist of one wire from ECU to speed sensor in the control panel (speedometer/tach area), it's wire L-W (1-4) in the Big Green Book, and marked SPD on the ECU end. Let me know if you need additional help, or if this gets you what you need.

It is the rev limiter. I will be running the car pretty much only in 3rd gear at above 7000 rpms is what we estimate and my understanding is at 6800 rpms on this motor a rev limiter kicks in. On my 2s-e I believe it kicked in at 6200 rpms. Anymore advice?

You might want to see for yourself what the rev limit is, I've auto-xed my car and not noticed any abrupt limiter kicking in. If you do notice something more than I have, then the MSD, is your best bet for your needs.
