Does anyone know if a company makes headers for the 3sge motor?
I know that pacesetter has one, but that is of bad quality, so i want to get one for my N/A 3sge.

I know HKS makes an exhast, but I'm not sure about headers. I've only heard of pacesetter.
Thinking aloud: Do 5S-FE headers bolt up to the 3S-GE?

Might, but i dont know.
I do know that the altrac manifold will bolt up to a 5sfe head, if that helps.

If that's the case, just get some headers for the 5S-FE powered Celica and bolt them onto the 3S-GE. Jeremy would probably know for sure......

Yes, I am inclined to think that a HEADER(singular) designed for a 5sfe will bolt up to a 3s block. Some slight modification may be necessary to get the ports to match up exactly right, but nothing major. And you are correct. Pacesetter = shite. -Jason

I have a 3SGE motor with a Pacesetter header that is made for the 3SFE. Pacesetter does not offer a header for the GTS,only the GT. After the header was ordered,the box just said "1986-1989 Toyota Celica 2.0L" on it,so I figured it would fit. No such luck. The tubing hit the starter and did not clear a cooling fan. So,I took the header, cut the tubes approximately an inch from the flange and added 4" into each pipe and removed the 2nd cooling fan (on AC equipped car). However,I couldn't plug in the plug for the water temp or something,the plug that's to the right of the alternator.
Anyways,big improvement in performance. Not worth it to modify the header,but I was already at the point where I as past commitment,and the total re & re of the headers took 9 hours.

Find a damn good exhaust shop, and get a header flange from here... and go all custom. -Jason

I would do what Jason said. It looks good but, you just got to find a place.

header = exctrators?
i can get a set of secondhand extractors off an 86-87 3sge would that fit my 88-89 3sge? the o2 sensors are in different places to my knowledge but i just want to know if the ports will line up, its something i really want to get after i get the car running good

the ports and studs are the same. Its just that the FE doesn't have the starter in the way and the header runs right where it would be on the GE

Hey guys, I might have said this before, but there is a soarce for great 3SGE headers custom made. Walt Puckett at Delta Group Motorsports builds some of the best engineered and quaility headers around. As a matter of fact, he has said in the past, if he gets enough orders for the same header, the cost is sure to be less for each. I will be getting him to build mine, so I can kind of show and tell what hes done for me. I'm not quite sure of his e-mail address, but he is on the web under Delta Group Motorsports in Shelby NC. As for price, the header he built for my 84 Nissan Pulsar ITC racecar was around $400, but that was a one-off with no others produced. racerb
