Hey guys, found out why I've not been able to reach Walt about our headers, well seems like the economy has got him too. Walt has had to take a (real) job, cause he just wasn't getting enough work from the racing community. He is however still availlible on a part-time basis to do whatever we need, I'll get with him real soon about building mine for the GTS. racerb

If someone can draw up a template for the flange I can make some up....I just dont feel like pulling the manifold off my daily driver, but I am readily available to make flanges and then tig weld some 1.625" tubing to the flange and bend down to be a 4-1 design at the collector or I could do it a diff. way. anyone interested just draw me up a template with dimensions and I'll get started. I made a turbo manifold and flange for a b20a prelude

Hey that sounds great, just might be what the rest of these guys are looking for, however I've got to stick with what my buddies building, as it's designed around the type of racing we do. Not to say your disign is not good enough, it's just that the Puckett system is taylored to an Improved Touring engine and it's flow rates. Plus you will most likely be able to beat his prices, since most of his headers are around $400 a peice, with a slight reduction for multiple units. racerb

Hey guys I know you probebly thought I'd forgot about this one, but no it's been eating at me alot. I finally heard from Walt, and he said he could get with me the first of April about building my header, and hopefully more. His e-mail stated that he is semi-retired from the racing business, but would be willing to do some work for us on this project. I'll keep you all posted on the progress of this exciting little modification, and the possibilty of there being several units made. racerb

Guys TRD made custom headers for the GTS modeal. They used it on the Long beach Pro Celib cars. My race car is a Pro Celib car and I still use the headers. If I can find some one to duplacate the headers for a cheap price, then we can have a good header that works and we can try to keep the cost down to $250 doller price range.

Hey if you could find just one, Walt can replicate any header, and cause it ain't from scratch, it would deffinately be cheaper. I know people may dought what I say about this guy, but he was at one time a fabricator/team manager/driver for the factory Saturn race team with ICY racing, so he pretty much knows his shit. racerb

I'm not sure about that , but the header is the exhaust manifold, where the exhaust goes to exit your tailpipe. Usually has a big red hand with a X[/color] on it. **EDIT** Look here.. Under that heat shield is the exhaust mainifold, commonly replaced w/ headers.

Umm racerb.... you can mate the pacesetter 3sfe header to your GE heaad. Just as you can mate a 3sgte header to a 3sfe block. 3sfe pacesetter cost $149 -$189 cost avg from www.summitracing.com last i looked. The only difference is that the collector of header will differ and your local muffler shop can make a flange for your 3sge downpipe. Hope this helps

That would be fine for a street car application, but when dealing with a racecar as I am, it just doesn't have the proper flow and/or longevity of construction. I'm still waiting for word on when I'll be able to get mine built, but am in no huge rush cause I'm not racing the car anytime this year.
