Hey if I order my 3SGE header, who else wants one? Also who would be interested in a 3SFE header if a donor car can be found, to use for the template. Let me know so I can give my buddy Walt the numbers, which will reduce the cost to everyone. racerb

Hey guys I will contact Walt and see if he can ball-park a quote for me at least on the 3SGE header, like I said he needs the car with a 3SFE in it to know what differences he will incounter. I'm looking for one, if the price is right I may purchase it for parts and for this project. racerb

Hey guys I've been trying for the last couple of weeks to get in touch with Walt Pucket, about making a prototype header for my GTS. It appears that he is taking some time off for the holidays, so as soon as can get with him, I'll find out what he might charge for each header. As I said earlier, I bought 1 the last time for $400 dollar, because it was a one of a kind, if we buy several the cost is much less. Walt is in the bussiness of making parts for race and performance cars, so if we can bring him enough customers, he might be willing to make other parts and peices for us. racerb

I am a bit of a noob, so can someone explain to me what the advantage of a fabricated header is over the stock?

The advantage is that the diameter tubing used is bigger than what is used in the stock exhaust manifold, so it lets more air out of the engine thus allowing the engine to take in more air, therefore increasing horsepower. I think thats right.

Thats about it, just got to make sure that it all flows out smoothly, with no reverse flow affect. Thats why most custom headers are stepped in their primary tube diameters so all the gases pass straight on through for quicker expulsion. But like it was said the more you can get out, the more you can get in, and vice versa. racerb

So when someone talks about a fabricated head, better flow and therefore performance is /implied/ ?
