Hey guys, with the resent settlement deal between Brouton Smith (owner Lowe's Motorspeedway and now 6 other tracks) and International Speedway Corperation, NC Speedway is now open to amature racing again. The settlement gave Brouton a second date at Texas MS, and controlling interest of both Rockingham (NCMS) and Darlington Raceway. As Rockingham was owned by Roger Penske and ISC, they togather had made it a one series track (Nascar only). With the new ownership, there has already been dates cofirmed for NASA Southeast roadracing and HPDE schools and also some SCCA activities. This comes as welcome news for us low budget racers, as due to the lower track rental fees, the savings can be passed on to the competitor. racerb
