No,no it would actaully be pretty good. 4WD close to 200 lbs of torq. you could do pretty well with it. How much do they weight? check your PM's

Umm, close to 3500lb with me in it, and a full tank of fuel. Also, It's kinda geared wrong for autoX. I might bring teh '84 out this year for a couple of events tho'. 600 posts.

For the courses down in S'toon, it would be a constant battle between 1st and 2nd. All-trac is more of an open road car. Perfectly stable at 140mph. I might try the all-trac this year, depends if i can get it to hold oil .

I know a guy with a vette and he is between 3 and 4 the hole time and he has no problem. I am always between 1 and 2. Its not big deal with shifting, its easy when you dont have to but I cna deal with it. I raced with my friends Focus SVT and I stayed in first the hole time and it was grrrrreat!

Problem is, the 1st-2nd gear split isn't the best on the alltrac. And at low speeds, you really start to feel the weight on the front. alltrac=bad f/r weight distribution.

The All Trac is too heavy, and in stock form, just doesn't have the suspension setup for Autocross. I autocrossed my '88 Corolla a few years ago, and that was way fun. I think the AT could be fun, but the thing is a pig, and wouldn't be competitive without some serious suspension, brake, and weight reduction mods.
