It was the NASA cross over at Buttonwillow race park. North Cal came down to race us in South Cal. I was pit crew for my best friend Edik, he races the # 78 DA black Integra for Honda Challenge H4. He took 2nd on Saturday, lost to a so cal racer and on Sunday ran 1st all of the race and we lost the motor on the last lap. He pushed the car pass the checkerd flag. Pics edomoto.com/racing/photos/BW%20April%209,10%20-05/page_01.htm yes thats me sleeping on the floor, I only had 2 hours of sleep.

Hey nice pics dude, I especially like the number 52 Integra, not that your buds doesn't look good, that 52 car looks like a pro machine. Do you know who was driving it, cause I used to race against some guys from the west coast years ago, and they had ties to Comptech. Does NASA require the drivers to cover up their SCCA stickers, or is it just something they do out of respect. We're getting ready to announce a combined racing series, with our Carolina Cup Series from SCCA, joining up with NASA to put on a couple races. Look for a press release in the next couple of months in Grassroots Motorsports, about our first race weekend coming up in July.

The driver of the 52 was a woman. I didnt get her name, She was very fast. All of the DA's where from North Cal besides our DA. But I got to tell you she has some motor under that hood. Hummmm I wonder if its a legal motor. For the SCCA sticker, we cover it out of good well.

I know what you mean Bob. After that save he ended up cloging the front of the radiator and started over heating half way. Sundays race is even more fun, lots of bumper fights with M3's. I will have that posted as soon as I can.

Good stuff, it's made me start working alittle faster on the IT car, but I'm waiting on my cage builder, he's got a Miata and a BMW ahead of me. So I'm just finishing everything I can do before he gets it, like cutting out the drivers door panel, removing rubber insulation from the footwells, and generally getting rid of anything that ain't useable.

Yeah it's mounted beside the external tach, the things are pretty intense so it's hard to ignore them.

Your doing the right thing Bob. The only problem is removing the floor tar. The way we did it is by freezing it with dry ice and then breaking it off pice by pice. Are you going to have NASCAE style cage? because in IT we need to have everything on the door inless you have the roll bars going into the door. I even have my windows in my doors with the blue door panes.

Yeah read your rules updates, you can remove all your door interior panels, but must replace with thin metal sheeting. And I'm building a Nascar style cage, with bars going all the way out to the door skin, would have done this with my old car, but just didn't want to put any more money in it, as it was already 6 years old. New owner hasn't made the update either. I can tell you, the glass and hardware alone must weigh 20lbs. I like the current IT rules alot better, cause really the only thing you've got to leave now is the dash and steering column, and of coarse that stupid heater core, which we've been fighting since '86, when I built my first IT car. racerb
