Hi guys.
Just spent the whole weekend camping at JAE (Japenese Auto Extravaganza)at Billing Aquadrome, UK - Europes largest Moddofied Japenese meeting.
I had the only Gen 4 Convertible!!
I was getting worried as until sunday morning, i was the only owner of a Gen 4 out of, lets say 2,500 attendees, but on sunday morning, i was introduced to a guy with a 212BHP 160mph n/a gen 4 3S-GE, which made my weekend.
I was beggining to give up hope rebuilding the convertible and race modding the engine, because they are so thin on the ground in the uk - suppliers for parts are rare, technical assistance is rare etc. but after speaking for a great length of time with this guy, i have realised it can be done. he has internet buddies in australia and the USA as these are the areas which seem to have the gen 4 in decent numbers.
in october, i will be stripping the car to its shell, rebuilding and repraying, stripping sound deadening, doing work to the engine.
So, I need as much assistance as possible regarding engine work.
I do not want a supercharger or turbo, the block is only good for 220BHP unless i upgrade to a gen 5 block, but i want to stay 1st gen 3sge.
i want to port and polish, upgrade fuel pressure regulator (with pressure gauge) i want to upgrade rods, pistons and all else. the nitrous will probably run at 75hp.
I dont know the technical language of the motor engine, i'm an ex RAF airframes angineer so i can pick it up. I want the car back on the road, fully restored and race spec by April 2005.
any help by serious 160MPH, late 12's early 13's 1/4 mile gen 4 modders will be greatly appreciated
