Hey second, third, and forth gen 3SGEs are JDM, as they weren't imported for sell in the US Celicas, although the second gen MR2 ran a version of it.

hmm... i got my answer back from toysport.... and they offered me : 1st gen 3SGE $550 wiring harness $450 (when available) ecu $250 hmm...

lets say.. that i get the 3sge motor and i just get the ecu and harness from a U.S. 3sge from a junkyard... will that ECU and Harness be able to use on the 3sge motor from japan?

my only question is...if you have to get the ecu and harness w/the motor why not go ahead and convert over to the 5th gen ecu and harness (MAP) and get rid of the AFM?

i finally got the ecu and harness for the 3sge... 5 finger discount by the way... hahah... and also... does anyone noe if i have to change the whole front brake system for the 3sge? if so... can i jus change the front to the 5 lug conversion and leave the rear a 4 lug version/...??

Sure, you can just change the front hubs. Why though? The brakes up front are almost identical. Hell, the rotor size is the same, and the systems use the same pads.

hmm... so i dont have to make the five lug conversion at all then rite?... cuz some people been tellling me that i would have to convert to the 5 lug version, but i have no idea why... since i dont have to convert them... im just gonna keep it all 4 lug around... and try to make it a sleeper car and smoke some hondas... ;D oh yea by the way... which 3sge should i get..? cuz im in CA.... and that smog crap... which one do i get ? the 3sge w/ the external or internal egr??
