www.spiralmax.com/okay, they say "supercharger" but it has no moving parts and doesn't force air, it just whirls it to "increase hp and gas mileage". Anyone try anything like this? do they work? $70 is very spendy for a stupid piece of what looks like aluminum. BTW: this isn't forced induction....it just whirls the incoming air and is a stationary unit inside your intake hose afaik.

aren't those thing the same as the "Tornado" in those infomercials? Yea, i think so. Haha...yesterday I went into shucks and saw one of those things....asked the lady if she knew if it worked and she said she didn't know but that you could pretty much make one out of a pop can. I'm thinking I may try it just for the hell of it, and see if it works.

All I know is, if this was such a good thing then the auto makers would of come out with it first. I think Ferrari engineers are just a little smarter then the makers of this product.

I think Ferrari engineers are just a little smarter then the makers of this product. the only way it would work is if it was after the afm in the intake tube.....we all know that the air fuel mixture is adjusted at the afm and if that was after the afm then the air/fuel mixture would go fubar into the throttle body and would be turbulent which isnt good. just throw a bag of ice on the intake plenum and get a cold air intake or short ram and call it good.

I've asked a few people at various auto shops and they say they didn't notice any hp gains at all....but they did notice fuel efficiency.

i just think on an afm controlled car it would screw up the air/fuel mixture because it would be placed after the afm in the intake tube
