Well today i got 2 gauges really cheap today, brand new off a mate. Both mechanical, 1 water temp and 1 oil pressure. Just wondering where to install them, do i remove factory oil pressure sensor? Where do i put water temp in?

You would just install them in place of the sensors. The water temp gauge, into the stock water temp sensor spot, same w/ the oil pressure.
You don't need to do anything with the stock gauges, as when you unplug, remove the stock sensors, the gauges will just be off.

I don't think so..
If that was possible, I wouldn't do it anywayz. Just keep the stock sensors somewhere, and tuck away the wires so the don't get burned/broken/ruined, and if you wanna ever uninstall the aftermarket gauges, jsut reinstall the stock ones... It's only about 5 min worth of work/effort to swap them out.. Running wires is the fun part now

Hey when using real live gauges, you sometimes find it's a little hit and miss on whats normal and whats not. As far as oil pressure goes 50-60 psi with your stock oil pump is about normal at cruiseing speeds, with 15-20 psi at idle. If for any reason psi at idle drops bellow 10 check oil level first, if ok then you might have pump problems. When it comes to water temp, it's usually pretty simple, as 180-190 degrees is when the thermostat opens and water begins to circulate through the system. If your temps get up in the 220-240 range, then this is when serious damage can occure, as in worped heads and even bearing damage. Another good gauge to have is an oil temp gauge, some people beleive that oil has to be hot to work properly, but too hot is also damaging. Oil should be in the 190- 240 degree range max, anything above this can cause savere rod bearing and crank bearing damage, I have several Nissan paper weights (engines) with holes in their blocks to prove it. Have fun with this install, and I'm glad to see the oil pressure gauge has copper tubing, instead of plastic, thats much safer when installed near you and your passengers.
