I am going to be putting one helllufa system in my celica. seeing as i already have my subs, 1 amp, and another amp on the way, i think that it's a good idea to run a second battery in my celi.
the amps are 2 fosgate amps, one 4ch(p4004) and i belive a 2ch(p5002 or p6002). they both require alot of power. i will be installing a 1 farad cap in the system, and i am planning on purchasing a yellow top Optima battery. I want to have this battery in the back area, under my system.
the real question. is it possible to have both batteries charging off of the alternator, or do i need to get a larger alternator, or is this just a wishful dream that won't ever happen??

your one alternator will charge the batteries but usually people going for more than 1 battery go with a battery isolator. it makes it so that you have a starting/operation of engine car battery & then the second battery is your axillary battery, so that your stereo system can only pull juice from your 2nd battery & not from your car battery. & THE ISOLATER STILL ALLOWS BOTH BATTERIES TO CHARGE.
