My current muffler is on its last legs... so i am looking for a replacement.
and i figure what a perfect time to be hitting up a new cat back exhuast system
i want something that roars on full throttle above 3-4000 but at idle and cruising at 3000 no drone.
what size pipe am i looking at... and how many mufflers and what type should i be looking at?

I would personally go with Dynomax over ANSA. The ANSA just reminds me too much of Pacesetter to be able to trust it.

Look at either a Dynomax or Flowmaster muffler with a 2 1/2" exhaust, preferably with mandrel bent tubing for better flow. As far as cats go, check with your local muffler shop, they should be able to recomend a good highflow model.
racerb ;D

Magnaflow mufflers are also very good. Personally, I just don't like how Flowmasters sound on 4 cylinders. I would avoid them just because I woudl be annoyed all the time. But that's just me.

I have a HI -CAT with flowmasters and it sounds very throat deep deep with Magnoflow Muffer with a twin chrome tip. THe magnaflow I have is straight thru muffler with fibre glasspack. I duplicated a v8 setup. Very good results. My car sounds stock.
