Hey All. I'm looking into getting a new set of wheels and tires from the stock ones that came with my ride. So far, I believe I have 13" wheels (Correct me if I'm wrong), and the tire size is 185/70R13. If I were to upgrade to 16" wheels, what would be an excellent tire size? Ones that would make it look nice but not rub againt the wheel well. Also, would you all know of any place that has pretty good deals on tires? So far, I'm looking into www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findWheelDetail.do?wd=16&pc=75752&rw=7&bp=4-100, but I'm not really too fond of the color. I'm looking for more of a bronze or Gun Metal 16" 4x100 with 40mm offset. So if any of you have expierence in this field, let me know. Thanks much.

:)Im a real big fan of any 16 inch rim, its not so big where you will lose time in 1/4 mile and its a good radius for SOLO races!!

you lose time w/ 17's? what if you get slicks to reduce the radius...?

you lose time w/ 17's? what if you get slicks to reduce the radius...? It's not the radius that kills you. You want the radius, with tire, to be as close to stock size as possible. It's the weight that ends up killing your speed. More unsprung weight on an under powered Celica? Slower.

Check out the Buy/Sell forum, I have a set of 16's w/ tires for sale. I went with 205/45hr16's from the stock 185/70r13's and they proved to be just about perfect.
