no statistics, but carbon fiber is more dourable. also looks much better, but i think everyone might say that's a biased opinion, look at my interior-nuf said there

why is it a bias opinion? not like any carbon fibre in your car is real

lol ouch. Carbon fiber has a much better temperature flexability than fiberglass, when fiberglass gets cold it tends to chip crack, and break easily, also carbon fiber is alot lighter and i would have to say that real carbon fiber looks a hell of a lot better. I personally like dans interior even if it isnt real CF it looks really really good.

FG is alot cheaper, and generally alot easier to work with. Carbon Fiber is much stronger, but it loses alot of strength if not done right, which generally requires an autoclave. Most of the CF parts you buy on the internet from some dude, are just showy parts. The only difference between them and a sticker is that you can see flaws in the real stuff., and they are generally a bit glossier. Unless you need strength, or want the raw look of CF, there isn't much need to use it. I'm not sure i would reccomend someone hand layuup a whole hood out of CF.. I'm not sure it would retain the strength without being done in an autoclave.
If you just want to do bodywork.. CF is probably a waste of money, and probably frustration.
