I'd like to add some of those small fog lights on my drive, and was wondering if any of you has a link or an how to that I can follow to connect the wires.
I'd like any of the following solution:
1 - the fog lights turn on with the headlights 2 - the fog lights turn on with a separate switch, but will turn of in case I turn the car off.
I hope this mess made sense to any of you experts.
Thank you so much!

well the way I would wire it is I would wire a relay up wire it up so that when you turn the key on it activates the relay the relay supplies power to your foglight switch, then your switch goes to the fog lights.
That way if you leave the switch on the relay will still shut it down when you turn the key off, you could also wire another relay in between the first relay & the swith that switches on with the headlight switch.

When you buy fog lights they usually or should have a diagram with them.

yes but they wont have a diagram to hook it up the way I said. I'm sorry but I do not have the time to write up a diagram. If you dont know how to wire it by what I told ya, you should have an experienced technician or even a car audio installer wire it for you.

OK I have some time, here goes You will want to get a standard 12V SPST(single pole, single throw) relay. It will have 4 pins and the diagram on the side of it will look somewhat like ^^that^^. The output pins will be numbered 30, 85, 86 and 87 or something, but I have numbered them 1, 2, 3, and 4 (in no particular order)just to make it more complicated for you and easier for me. But just replace my numbers with whatever numbers the diagram gives you and you're good to go OK number 1 connects to your battery positive post, preferrable through a fuse, 15 amps or so, but no higher than the rating of the relay. number 2 will connect to ground. number 3 will connect to your trigger source. If you want the fog light switch to have power when your brights are on, then you will connect this one to the wire at your headlights that powers your high beams. I personally would recommend going under your dash and finding the iwire that is powered when you turn your marker lights on(this will insure that as soon as you turn your lights off then the foglights no longer have power). Or as jeremy stated, you can connect this one to your key power or acc as it may be called. And number 4 will go through your button/switch to control your fogs and ultimately to the positive wire on your foglights. Note: pin 2 and 3 can be vice-versa as it serves the same purpose And of course the foglights will have a ground wire on each of them too, these will both go to ground (usually the mounting bolt depending on the location)

Go buy a set of fog lights form your auto store or where ever you are going to get it from and it will show you how to hook them all up. The only thing is they might not show you how to set it up to when you turned the lights on they would turn on, you might have to tlak to Jeremy about that or maybe schmooot might know but I have no clue.

It's just a matter of hooking it up past the relay for the headlights. If done right, the fogs will turn off with the headlights when you open your door.. even if you don't manually turn the light switch off.

damn, he said he was new to this and you're giving him all these pages of instructions and probably confusing the fuck out of him...
easiest way, splice your + headlight wire, connect positive of fog lights to that wire, and the negative just ground it in the engine bay somewhere
bam, done.

Try an inline fuse, but I also dont think fogs will take up much power.
