I have been reading a post about someone getting ARP to make long wheel studs for our cars. Has anyone tried an existing wheel stud? One that has a similar size knurl and had their hubs drilled out to except the wheel stud? When I change over to the GT-S brakes, I want to install longer wheel studs, especially in the rear, so I can use spacers to move the tires out further.
There's a set made for Honda's, how close are they to ours?
"12mm x 1.5 press-in stud features a .485'' knurl, will fit most Honda 1980-00 applications. 2.850'' long."

Jim, ITA Celica and I have been working on this for awhile, his buddy at ARP is supposed to be working on making them for us. As far as the Honda studs, I've also looked into those, but found the knurl diameter to be to small. If ARP doesn't come through, I've thought about using circle track style studs, and drilling out the hubs as you have said. racerb

One reason for wanting to know if another stud will work is that it will probably be cheaper to use a stud that is already mass produced than to get some from a limited run. Not that they break often, but building more cars or dealing with messed up threads would be easier knowing someone has an on-demand supply. I'm going to research using another stud.
