Had anyone tried this IAT sensor modification that I have been hearing about? I purchased a set of 5.6ohm 1/2 watt resistors from radioshack today...but im wondering if anyone has had any luck trying this on 4th gen celicas. I know its not smart to try timing advance mods...but I'm just wondering if anyone has found an effective use of this modification. Thanks!

I'm not sure, what exactly does it do? Also, I'd refrain from cross-posting in the future. That's one of the things that pisses me off the most on my own forums.

I didn't read the whole thing, but it says it's purpose is simply to increase your timing.
Anyway, why don't you just adjust the timing using the distributor or the car's stock components for adjusting timing? To me, that makes more sense that installing resistors and stuff.

Is the ecu difficult to get at on the 4th gens? I suppose there is no way to modify the actual sensor itself...

I can honestly tell you it's a bitch to get at. Is it in the center of the car in the lower part of the dash?

Is it in the center of the car in the lower part of the dash? Behind the radio, and about 6 inches lower. Most of the carpet/radio/some heater stuff HAS to come out to get to it. I have the whole interior stripped and I still can't get to one side of it.
