Hey all, just wanted to say that I'm new here, new to modifications, own a 86 Celica ST. I was wondering if you guys know of any general car enthusiast websites where I can get my feet wet as far as car mods go (tools required, schemas, etc.) Thanks in advance, and my apologies if this thread is way to broad.

Hey man, welcome aboard the site. Glad ya found us. To answer your question, the best thing that you can do is READ, READ, READ, READ, and READ some more in various forums. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask them at anytime and we'll be more than happy to help you with them. I can give you some general ideas where to find some of Toyota related information, but the same idea applies. Read and soak up all that you can. Anyways, here ya go: www.howthingswork.com - Good site for the most general and basic knowledge about how different things work. Turbos, superchargers, engines, etc. www.celicatech.com/forums/index.php - They have a TON on information throughout their forums and archives. This is where most of the information and people went after the C.net downfall. You can also check 4gc's archives and our Aftermarket, FI, N/A, and Repair forums.

Thanks so much for the links! I've devoured around half of the howstuffworks auto pages, half to go However, I hadn't found the celicatech forums, that should be pretty awesome. I'm very excited to start mucking around under the hood, and rest assured, I'll slam you guys with questions Thanks, Ian

It's all a learning process. Hell, there's a LOT of stuff that's still WAY over my head.
