Howdy. I recently installed a new set of Sparco hood pins on my 86 GT-S, and let me tell you, they look AWESOME!!!! A nice set of hood pins is a great way to add style and safety for all you speed junkies. Installation was fairly easy, but be ready to live with large gaping holes in your hood if you ever decide to uninstall the pins. To get your own set of Sparco hood pins simply log onto the Sparco web site and lay down about $20. Also, the set does NOT usually come with installation instructions, so if you need help feel free to reply to this message. Cya later.

Cool...I was about add hood pins in a couple of weeks...Last year at the track I had the hood pop up at 110mph It didn't fly open but it scared the beejezzes out of me...Got any photos? I noticed an existing hole just behind the headlights...That's where I was going to mount them...Was it fairly easy to get a hole drilled through the hood and lined up? Any info is appreciated ;D

Hank, I understand why you'd need them.. for pretty much 98% of this forum, what a waste of money. they do NOTHING unless you're at the track all the time, and have a REAL need for something of the sort. They do not look cool on a non-race prepped car. they look silly and excessive with body kits, wings, and the like. -Jason
