Ok.. I didn't wanna jack anybody's thread, so here's my own. I'm about 2 hours away from purchase. I wanna know, can I like scruff them up a bit, and the spray paint them a color that I want?? Blue, or yellow, whichever I decide?

you can, just be sure to use high heat paints, duplicolors are great.

those are springs, coilovers are adjustable and have a threaded sleve at the top with 2 rings around it to adjust the ride hight. edit-theres no coilovers made specifically for the 4th gens, they have to be custom fit.

I dont see why you'd have to use high heat. springs dont get that hot better quality paints, wont chip as easily and will go on much nicer.

Cool.
I've been lookin for coilovers, but gave up. I'm just getting the springs w/ some upgraded shocks, and my 17"s.

now that i think about it.....what about spring rates tho. dont the generations of the celica weigh different ammounts? if your worried bout the spring rates, get a cheap coilover kit and use good springs designed for the 4th gen with it.

if your worried bout the spring rates, get a cheap coilover kit and use good springs designed for the 4th gen with it. is that possible? those cheap coilovers I dont think are any different than a quality one if you use good struts

no, im saying use the coilover kit from a different celi, but instead of using the springs that came with it, use springs designed for our cars, its entirely possible and will than be specific to the 4th gen, not have spring ratios from another gen.
