I'm gonna get my windows tinted. I can have a pro shop do it for $180 plus a VIP wash. That's for limo on the back 3, and 35% on the front 3. Should I take this, or attempt it myself? I've tinted a Blazer before.. but... it bubbled 6 months later..

$180 doesnt seem to bad, but if your gunna attempt it yourself dont do it unless you can take the windows out...makes a much better job.

Places around here will do it a 3% which is illegal (think lower % the dark it is) for $50 but they wont give u any warrenty or a recipt, but for 50 its not bad.

If the place is offering warranty, then there is no reason to try it yourself. If you take it to a good shop, they've tinted many many windows and it will stay on very well for a longtime. This is one thing i probly would not do myself.

thats a good price. I would get it done for that. Its way too much of a PITA to do it yourself, I've done my tercel windows 5 times (got a deal on the tint) before I was finally sorta happy with the outcome. The shop has all the right tools and the larger roll of tint (one piece for a window rather than cut and paste bullshit) and they know all the tips and tricks, and they usually give you a lifetime warrantyu on their job so definately get it done.
And yes 5% is very dark and very hard to see out of whereas 50% is hardly noticeable.

I didnt mean to yell BUCKS. Yeah, I would do it for 180 cuz I got quoted $260.00 to have mine done in limo color dark tint. So $180 is a nice deal and plus you wont have to worry about DIY bubbles sticking up your window tint redos. Sorry didnt mean to be rude.

shit, 180? well i guess its not to bad, i had mine done with lifetime waranty against peeling bubling and fading, any other shit u can think of, for 120, and just had the same place do the uper windshield strip for 20. if the 180 dosent include that, its expensive.
