I've got a problem!
I have an 87 GT with 3S-FE that's nearly dead. I 've also got second manual tranny for it.
However the toyota dealers advised me to look for a swap instead of rapairing the old engine.
I live in Poland @^%$*&, and the only things i've found here are: 1992 3S-GE from a 1992 celi, but without harness and ecu, tranny, alternator, starter. An 1988 ECU for 3S-GE (with all the harness).
The question is: will all those things work together? I mean S53 transaxle from 3S-FE, 1992 GE engine with 1988 ECU, 3S-FE alternator, A/C compressor and so on?
What are the possible problems?
I would ge grateful for all help!

I've got a newly rebuilt 3s-fe.... if you're willing to pay for shipping to poland...lol. Sorry.
The 3s-ge can be put in you're car...however, because it's a 92 there might be some wiring differences.... I'm not sure if the 3s-fe tranny will mate to that engine. Thats a good question for TurboTRDcelica....as a matter of fact...this whole thing is a good question for him.

Hey Tomek, your tranny will work on the 1992 3sge. By the way, the 3sge didn't come int the USDM 1992 celica. It came in everywhere but the US. So you will have a tough time getting the darn thing to pass somg. But if your willing to slip some money over to the tech, then go ahea, the power is good out of the 2nd gen 3sge. I think it makes 160hp.
As for the wiring, you will have to run the 1st gen injectors as the injector leads on the 2nd gen motor are different.
If you change that there will be a good motor, and you will be amazed at how much more HP the motor has then your tired 3sfe.
