OKay so on the 4th gen there is a side marker light up front that is integrated into the moulding. As per the picture Well I am painting the celi and I opted to remove all that side moulding. Now here is where I was torn between two options. 1) I could just leave the one piece of moulding on as per this 2)remove it and cover up the hole opting out of a side marker light as per this I was stuck on this decision for a few days, then I came up with a thrid option, which is now my solution.

OK here is the original light Bought new lights for $1.25 each Test fit in a scrap piece of metal There are the plugged holes and the new hole cut out And the new light in the hole I'll smoke them out like the old ones before I finish up.

Not a bad idea.. but I think you've got the marker flipped around backwards. the shape is that of a wing... something you ought to know a little bit about

how does one change that bulb without ripping off the whole side marker? my drivers side is out. The plastic lens slides out, and there you can access the bulb. I don't remember which way it slides, though.. Just push on it left and right until you feel it slide, and it'll pop out.

how does one change that bulb without ripping off the whole side marker? my drivers side is out. I would do it from the backside myself. Just undo a couple bolts holding the mudguard on, peel it back and then reach in Not a bad idea.. but I think you've got the marker flipped around backwards. the shape is that of a wing... something you ought to know a little bit about good point I didn't even think about direction, thats the way I decided it looked better so I went with it. BTW you think the aero force of each marker would create a vortex around the wheel wells so I don't suck so much air into there? gotta pull every little horsie out of it y'know

if you want to replace the side markers without doing any paint work, 7th gen ones will fit with no visible modification.
