im having problems with my JVC receiver due to the fact that it skips like a mother everytime i turn it up. it's not the vibration of the front speakers cause it also skips when i fade out the front speakers and turn it up, and it's not the CD media cause it skips when using any CD. i originally thought the problem was that i wasnt getting enough power to the receiver, so i put an 8guage wire to power it and it still skips. im thinking that the lenses in it might be dirty or something but im leaning more towards getting a capacitor cause my voltmeter does kinda move with the music. Anyone knows what the hell is wrong with my system? thanks in advance to anyone that can help cause i constantly think about ripping out my receiver and throwing it out the window all the time!!!!!!

I think that you hit the nail on the head. The lens is probably dirty, or something inside of the deck is loose or fucked up somehow.
Just replace or repair the deck and go from there.
My voltometer is all over the place with my stereo.
