Good info... I didn't see mentioned how many bulbs are needed... I'm gonna go blue to match my stereo... just wondering how many 194B's I need to buy to do the whole instrument cluster? Also... when painting the gauge faces and the cover panel.. is there a particular brand or type of paint that works well? Thanks Just look for translucent paint. I know you can find it in various colors in the plastic model paint section of a hobby shop. You can get an aerosol can setup that allows you to evenly spray the stuff that comes in the little glass bottles. I've used it myself, and it works pretty well, but the aerosol can does run out eventually. Just look on the cans of paint for "translucent".

I decided to forego the paint for now, but I did install the blue lights. Big improvement from stock, I think.

CBR74 did u get pics of yours? I just put blue ones in mine and I can tell a difference but its not as bright of a blue as I was expecting. It's a light blue or almost aqua. I was hoping it would be as bright as the red ones but oh well. I might get a couple red ones and maybe try 2 blue and 2 red and see what kinda effect I get. BTW the how to helped a lot. I never woulda found those screws behind the hazard and defrost switches, lol. I will post some pics of mine hopefully this weekend. And post more if I change them again.

Ok guys I got some pics of my blue bulbs and I also painted the face plate. I had a can of spray paint that was the same as my car and decided to use it. So it's a metallic silver-blue. When the light hits it you can see the metallic. At night when the gauges are lit it shines a beam into the edge of the insides of the circles on the gauges. It looks pretty cool. What do you guys think? Oh yeah btw I have a signal light that stays lit right now till I get that fixed so I just turned the flashers on so there wouldn't be one lit, lol. Anywho here are the pics. ~Jeanna~

Hmmmm, am I the only one with a digital dashboard here? Here, I think so. The digital ones were pretty rare. How has yours held up against time? Still working ok?

I've seen them around and had many an opportunity to get my hands on one, but I've decided against it every time. They tend to go bad after awhile.. and I like seeing the needle in reference to numbers other than what it's displaying.
