I just replaced the blades, and realized how faded the arms are. Any tip on how to paint them? I am looking for a quick but good solution: I don't have a shop or any fancy tools. Thanks.

Welcome noobie Just take them off and spray paint them, no secret to it, it's easy.

Hey that reminds me does anyone out there have the part of the wiper that holds the blade??? The part that connects to the wiper arm with 2 screws is what I need, I dont want to pay $30 for one retail and wait a week to get it. I looked at the junkyards and they have crap right now.

Funny you ask that. I just replaced those pieces. Good news: You get that part when you buy a wiper blade. Around here, a new wiper blade costs about $5.

Welcome noobie Just take them off and spray paint them, no secret to it, it's easy. Correction: Take them off, sand them really good with 120-180ish grit paper, then paint them with any old spraybomb(although specifically automotive will be better)

paint it to match the color of the car, like go to a professional paint co & have them mix up your factory color of the car into a spray can & then sand it & paint it to match the color of the car. I did that it ran me $15 for a can of paint.

Thanks folks! I think I will keep them black. I just wanted to make sure that sanding them & a can of spraypaint was all I needed.

I'd use a rust converter after the sanding. Then use some black primer, then paint.

I sprayed mine white, my cars black and I have a white decal on the windshield, looks good.... better than black I reckon ;D But make sure you dont spray them in a windy area and keep the can atleast 30-40 centimetres away from the wipers, the trick to gettting them looking even and neat is keeping the nozzle further away and recoating than a closeup coat..... remember runs in paint are not cool
