I've been readin up on the GTE motor. Apparantly, the C26 is a single entry turbo, which are known to crack if they get to hot. I know that an upgraded intercooler will help this, but I also saw that the Turbo can be upgraded to the twin-entry..(off the 2nd gen)
NOW>>>>
If I steal a 2nd gen exhaust manifold w/ the turbo, will this bolt directly onto the 1st gen GTE block?

Yeah, but you'll need to get a new slimline radiator fan. The 2nd gen manifold sits a good deal further out from the engine, and gets in the way of the front of the 4th gen engine bay./
