can a stock 3sfe tranny fit on a 2nd gen 3sgte?, can a 3sfe intake manifold fit on a 2nd gen 3sgte?, how does the 3sgte ecu and wiring harness hook up?, is this swap possable to do at home? any info would be a big help thanks

1. Yes, but I'd use an S-54 out of a 6th gen, or I'd get it rebuild. Those synchros will not like the amount of power that the GTE will push. You will need a stronger clutch.
2. Why? Use in the intake manifold that comes with the engine. Yes, the intake will fit, but the stock TMIC will not fit with it on there, you'd have to go FMIC.
3. Umm, like the stock FE, only the parts are replaced. The 2nd gen does have some wiring issues that I do not remember off of the top of my head.
4. Yes, but it is a lot of work.

You can add about 1K to the cost of swapping if you go FMIC. Consider that. Just keep the stock TMIC setup. That stock tranny wont like THAT much power for long. Rebuild it with the upgraded (fixed) synchros.

actually the 3S-FE intake manifold will not work on a GTE FE has 4 runners GE & GTE have 8, well you have to consider this going front mount is going to save you thousands in rebuilds cause the top mount intercooler is about as good as a flat tire. So either go front mount or go with the ST185 CS/RC Water to air intercooler like I did they are ultra efficient.
