I have let my brother drive my celi, due to the fact that I don't have my license reinstated yet and I don't want to loose it. So anyways My brother stoped by after he got off work and the car was fine. Then he went to pic his GF up from work. Parked the car and turned it off. Tried to start is and all he got was the humming noise which I think is from the fuel pump. I told him to push start it, It started right up. So I got a new starter for $126. Works like a champ.
Anyone else have this problem with their celi. WENT WITHOUT WARNING. Is it normal for a starter to do that?

This is currently happening to me, usually when I am at the track for an autocross race. I does restart eventually, but can take between 5 to 90 minutes before it does. I haven't been able to get the car to do it since the last race, but one time when it did do it, I took a short peice of wire and jumped the battery terminal to the starter wire and the starter spun. I went inside the car and hit the key and it started right up. It may not be the starter or it my be related to "something" getting hot andcausing the problem. It doesn't seem to happen when I drive "normally".
