Does anyone know of any things that can removed from the celica in order to lighten the car, besides the spare tire and crap like that i need like useless engines components and stuff. I want to keep the interior in tact to.

If you don't mind losing your AC you could take out the compressor, those things are like 20 or 30 pounds usually.

there is usually some sound dampening material sprayed along the floorboards like the visible stuff in the trunk. i've heard that on my mustang taking that stuff out can save 100 lbs but then the car sounds like a tin can

You could loose the cruise-control stuff. I'm going to do that when I change motors. Also moving the battery to the back will help with the weight distribution. That's also on my list-of-things-todo.
It also depends on what you want to use the car for. If you want to race it only, you could loose all the heating and AC related stuff, the sterio and speckers. Depending on what kind of racing you want to do, you could loose the metal parts of the bumpers and fabricate some wood to hold the bumper covers on. Front and rear wipers and motors.
Just think about what you need to car for and look at everything and ask if you really need it.

Its just a daily driver but it needs to go on a diet. Ive already pulled the spare tire and AC components. Theres not really any sound dampening material in the trunk just the carpet and it doesnt weigh hardly anything. I might have to go talk to the fab shop here and see if they can make me some carbon fiber components. They fab stuff like that and fiberglass fairly cheap too. They made the hood for my STI in like a week and it was only $289.99 or something like that.
