My '89 Celica ST was just towed away to go to the junk yard .... It's sad because we had gone through so much together ... and now its probably just going to be crushed. -sigh- well, at least I have my 87' Celi GT-S to keep me content. -sean

the timing belt broke... plus .. i figured since I always wanted a stick shift celica that that was the perfect time to go out and get one so i found the GT-S for $500 .... and all it needed to be fixed was a new battery, a new alternator, a new brake line on one side and to re-attach one of the wires in the back for the back lights .... its a steal, i think ... especially considering the paint job is great. i'll post pictures of the GT-S probably today.

Sure it is. It's less than $200 for parts to do yourself (like, a LOT less) and you can easily get over $500 for it. Let's put it this way.. by NOT fixing it, you passed up at least $300.

the car was in poor shape besides the timing belt. rust started taking over ... it stalled even though i replaced everything BUT the engine ... and quite frankly i had had enough
