I think Dan's is actually custom made as are many that you will find on the board. Though I suppose a template would be helpful. Of course you could try the junkyards, dealership, or wait to see if someone here has one for you.
In any case welcome to the boards.

ha, yea, mine was custom made. all i did was find strong wood thats a little thicker and trace the design off the old one onto it. after that you have to go through the pain in the ass process of punching the holes for the mounting bracket, and if you want speakers in there, you need to have a strong pice of wood, the stock will not do jack shit.

that's what I'm doin also. I had an old one, but it was cracked and couldn't hold it's own weight. I took a cardboard cutout of it, and am gonna prolly go 1/2" plywood, so I can mount some 6x9's in there. I'm also in the middle of a *custom* sub box

Hmm ok, thanks for your help, I figured out that itscalled a parcel shelf. Yeah I want to put some 6x9's in it since the 4's all the way around is weak sauce, haha, Ill have to check junkyards so i gan get something to make a template out of as well as hardware, since its only got the things to mount it on (the speaker box area), thanks.

yes 1/4 inch hardboard I think its called or particle board, its gonna be difficult to do withouth the old one as a template but not impossible. I just used the old brackets for strength but you probably don't have access to those either so I would suggest ripping them off some other car and mickeymousing them to attach to your custom made tray there's what I did for teh celi.

Whyyyyyyyy?!?!?!? you don't necessarily need the brackets off a celica, just peek around at a junkyard and find brackets that look about right, all you really need is the end pieces that fit in the socket the rest helps for rigidity but any metal will do that

If anyone really wants a cover, there are a few Celica's in the local yards were I live. I don't know the condition, but could go check them out and pick up a good one.
