I bought my Celica last month with this problem: Well, I got a new fender and a used door, had them painted and installed them yesterday. I swapped the window regulator and lock mechanisms from the old door to the new one since the original was power and ther new one wasn't. Everything went smoothly (I thought) but I got complacent and didn't bother checking the window alignment. It went up and down ok when the door was open but I didn'r bother checking with it closed. I shut the door, and I had to coax it into the final click but nothing else seemed wrong. All happy with myself, I decided to go for a drive. After 15 minutes of driving there was a sudden Crash!. My passenger window had exploded! I'm pissed coz not only did I lose a window, my brand new paint is also chipped. Good thing I had a spare window from the second door. Today, after cleaning out all the glass, I installed it and tested it carefully. I discovered that the window sits at a slight angle and about 1/4" too far back. What baffles me is I can't find a way to adjust the window. There is a tiny bit possible at two of the regulator bolts (circled in pic below) but it is not enough. - Is there some other adjustment which I might have missed?
- If the regulator is bent, can one take the motor of the power regulator and mount it on the manual one?
- I need the window to move 1/4" towards the front of the car, how could I possibly accomplish this?

Thanks so much Bryan! I wished I had asked for help before I started seeing as I don't have a manual (ordering one tomorrow).
