Just like it says how do you feel about your 4th gen & let's rate things such as
Power Handling Safety Comfort Styling
I love mine it's so much fun to drive around & it's a total sleeper other than the hood vent.
Power 8 Handling 5 Safety 9 Braking 8 Comfort 9 Styling 10
My handling just kinda sux right now stock everything the struts are blown, and all the bushings need to be replaced, and my PS is all messed up so I have no powersteering. I think a seal in the rack blew.
I have some coilovers, waiting to go on, waiting for the Tokico Illuminas, which I still don't have the money to buy.

Well, lets see here.... Power: 5 (it's fast enough to get me in trouble.....barely) Handling: 4 Safety:10 Comfort: 9 Styling: 6 Usually it would have gotten a better handling score, but with the blown suspension it has right now, I dont trust it. As for the 10 in safety, its always given me more than enough time to realize I'm doing something stupid. The only times I've lost control of it was when I was doing something rediculusly stupid . As for comfort, well, I like it. Probably because I'm pretty short, and I can actually strech out in the drivers seat. For styling, well, it needs a paintjob. Badly With all of that said, I love my car. ;D BTW Jeremy you forgot a category: Reliablity: 10 Its taken the abuse of a 16/17 year old driver and it still starts up and runs like nothing. It even ran with a completely broken intake tube.

Hmm....
Power 4 (3sfe is too damn slow.. don't care what mods it has, it's slow) Handling 7 (even with blown struts, it handles pretty tight) Safety 9 Braking 8 Comfort 6 (I can't even lean my seat back.. the inside walls of the back seat stick in too far because of the convertible top) Styling 9 (there are some sexy cars out there, but you can't go wrong with a black 4th gen. convertible) Reliability 8 (I"ve had my fair share of bad things happen.. nothing uber-major.. but enough for me to think twice before driving across the country.)

Power - 5 ...auto trans sucks Handling - 4 ...shocks are dead, but when i put my eibachs and new struts on it will be more like a 7 Safety - 5 ...I feel too vulnerable in a small car with all these crazy mofos driving these days Comfort - 7 ...Well its no benz, but i love the sport seats. the celica fits me well. Styling - 8 ...If i can get my hands on some decent wheels and install my eibachs i would be giving it a 10.

Power: 8. The GT-S engine is extremely fast with a few mods.
Handling: 5. I am in need of some new struts.
Safety: 4. NO AIRBAGS!!!!
Braking: 9. The front and rear disc brakes are very strong.
Comfort: 10. Wonderfully deep buckets with electric lumbar support, it doesnt get any better than that.
Styling: 8. 4th generation celicas are very stylish, and they look alot better with a custom hood scoop over the intake manifold.

Hm... I've got two cars to list, so I'll go ahead and do that... hehe. First, my old '86 GT-S Coupe 5-spd, though it bit the big one in November, 2001:
Power: 6- It was quick for me, not your average grocery-getter. Accelerated nicely and all that, though I've had to dim it on this rating when I got my '165.
Handling: 4- It felt very nimble, but with the front struts badly in need of replacement, it bottemed out way too much for my liking.
Safety:8- The car itself felt solid; the '92 Tercel I had afterwards felt like an eggshell in comparison. It was rather stable, and forgiving of my learning mistakes. Didn't have too many issues in the snow, as well.
Braking:7- Not bad as far as brakes went. I don't remember the braking performance too clearly, but they weren't bad. Not the best in the world, either.
Comfort: 7- The seats are among the best I've been in, and the controls are very well-placed. Seat's a little low to the ground, but it's a sports car; not supposed to be taller. ;D But, that blasted cruise control switch was a pain to get to sometimes.
Styling: 9- Somehow, the lines mixed with the semi-boxy feeling appealed to me. Very sporty-looking, and I didn't mind the light blue at all.
Reliablity: 7- Stupidly, I let oil leaks get out of control and ended up outta' luck and with a siezed engine. That and a few other problems hampered it, but the reliability of the car itself was okay... it was my own fault that happened, anyway.
My '88 ST165 GT-Four:
Power: 9- What can I say? A GT-S engine with a turbo and AWD? It's rather slow off the line, but when that turbo spools up you're gone. Not the quickest out there, but even for a sixteen year old car, it's still potent. Also, modification comes rather easy to this bad boy. Gimme a couple hundred bucks and it'll give a standard WRX a run for its money.
Handling: 8- The GT-Four feels a lot heavier than the GT-S, but whenever you get into a skid, the extra power and AWD really shine. Skid control is quite easy, and when you nail the right surface, you can do rally slides. Ended up accidentally doing one turning just a little too quick around a median that had a lot of gravel on it... next thing I know, my rear end's slid around and I'm going down the road in the correct lane and everything. Strange, no?
Safety:10- Everything the GT-S has, and more. Feels a lot more solid than it, but also weighty. It has AWD- a major boon for winter driving. That, and ABS. That's a mixed bag, but I can see where it can help. Also, I recall 4th-gens getting a rather good crash safety rating when they first came out, so throw that into the mix, too.
Braking: 8- Definately adequate for the car at least stock to a little above stock. I wouldn't rely on stock discs if you're going for serious power, though. ABS compliments it, though I know it's a minus for racing. I don't intend to race this car often... more like a powerful, confident daily driver than anything else.
Comfort:-8 Still the same seats, and I'm not complaining. The extra wiper controls for the liftback still confuses me a little bit, but I haven't driven the car often, anyway. Cruise control button's much easier to reach than the GT-S' as well. That, and cupholders.
Styling: 10- It took me a long time to get used to the liftback design, but my '165 looks aggressive that way, especially in black. It's got 1980s sports car written all over it... hehe.
Reliablity: 2- This car's been a total demonstration of Murphy's Law... whatever could go wrong, did go wrong. Turbo rebuild, water pump being shot, bolts siezed and impossible to get off without a mechanic.... that sorta stuff. Out of nine months of ownership, I've been able to drive it for one. I've recently gotten it running, and there's still a couple problems to iron out, but nothing too bad. But, on the bright side... I've transformed into a clueless guy who liked fourth-gens to someone who knows how to(kinda) work on 'em. Experience pays. That, and I've got the confidence of knowing I've gotten a lot done with this car.

I'm suprised about it actually. It takes a lot more punishment than I first thought it would (track car). Compared to today's vehicles it's slow, handles okay, has poor ergonomics, old school styling, and wouldn't hold up well in a collision by todays safety standards. Reliability, if properly maintained is great. It's a Toyota! We wouldn't be having this discussion if it wasn't. Back in the day, it was the tits. It was consider a great little sporty car with sleek styling. Lots of my friends had them in college. Whoops, I'm giving away my age It's really about the dollar value. Sure $25,000 for a new GTS doesn't sound like alot until you have to make the payment every month. I spent $2200 on my GTS and have the title. I'm having lots of fun with it and still have $22,800 in my pocket. How can you beat that! ;D

remember this is for my celica only...not all of them...i have a lot of mods...mainly i'm trying to build a good street car, back road burner. love my suspension and love my motor. all the body mods and suspension have made a stiff ride on the butt but better in the turns and added a lot of damn weight.

Power: *2* 2se- :-[crap. Handling: *6* just put new shocks in, all the way around. Safty: *8* the thing is so safe, its dangerious.(good brakes) Braking: *7* could always use more braking power Comfort: *5* sence i have no carpet, or back plastic pannales(power to weight ratio baby.) Styling: *4* could be the fact of body damadge, but other than that, ok
I'm going to primer my car white, with black hood and accesories so it will look alot better.
Aslo going to get some coil overs, to make it look alot better.
-Andy.
