Hey man, welcome aboard. Glad to see another LOW mileage 4th gen. Hell, mine rolled 90K about 5 minutes ago. Looks really good for the age too. BTW, are those 17's? If so, what suspension setup are you using?

I think they're 16's, Tom
Very clean looking car. I really like it. Nice and subtle. Now.. to get rid of that stock ST decal...

with a drop? ...I think not. bleh...you guys have to remember going UP TO 17's only widens the wheel/tire...you get lower profile tires to accomidate for the larger wheel size to stay roughly the same diameter...some 17 tires actually have a smaller diameter than the stock tires believe it or not. You also don't nesicarilly have to get 17's that are super wide either, it's not like they're all 7.5...you can get them in 7" wide also IIRC. I've been told by a few tire co's that I can go 17's with no real real worry about steering/clearance issues. I'm actually looking at some 16's so i can drop 1" or 1.5" later on. Nice Celi btw man...like said before it's really nice to see another low mileage 89....you done good

^^the problem with the low profile tires it shity ride quality, no room for the tires to absorb impacts, so it all goes to the rims, causin them to bounce more and scrape. i think i went 17x17.5. you cant physically fit a bigger rim without any modification. the other thing with big rims, it puts much more strain on the suspension.

i know, that's y im gonna get the eibachs, 1" shouldnt be too bad... yeah, i'd imagine from the pics you could take 1" no problem....at least I would hope so. 4g celi's look so jacked up with stock springs anyway, lol! Sacraficing ride quality for performance...it's all in the eye of the beholder. I personally don't mind sacraficing some bumpyness for speed/accel/cornering

lol the whole reason I went with 16s is because of ride quality. I used to own some low profile 17s on another vehicle and the ride was terrible. With these 16s it gives me a decent balance between ride quality and sportiness. As for that ST decal? I'm thinking of just keeping it there to maintain the stock look. Got to love sleepers.

Uhhh... unless those 16s (or 17s) plus tires are lighter than the stock wheel/tire combo, then you're losing acceleration, not gaining it. But I'm sure you already knew that. ;D

But I'm sure you already knew that. ;D Most of the 17's I've been looking at @ americas tire co are actually lighter than the stock wheels. Aluminum is gunna be lighter than steel or whatever the stock ones use. I know they're lighter cause they have a calculator for a ton of the variables of switching the wheels/tires on their site
