From top left, looks like its either the two left cylinders. Timing Belt, i'm pretty sure its what keeps everything running in order. Its located just below the pulley on the left side of the car under a cover. The shitty thing is if it does need a timing belt replacement the belt is 10$ the mechanical cost would be expensive (or so my dad says) because you have to take alot out to get down there) and i'll add you on MSN, once mine starts working. I'm on AIM far more often than MSN. Sk8Ttu is my SN. a bit of knocking in the cylinders could not possibly be your timing belt. Besides.. I woudln't let you take the car to a shop to change it. I'd teach you to do it. Use an automotive stethoscope to see EXACTLY where the knocking is coming from. In the mean time, I would check your ignition timing and oil level.

Right, it's a timing gun/timing light. It hooks up to your battery for power, and to your #1 spark plug wire for signal.

We took the cover off, and it made no noise. Then we put it back on and it makes the noise about 100 RPM's over the idle. So, i'm just gunna get my friends dad to look at it (he's a mechanic) and if its something that needs to be fixed that I can't do. I'll just pay him with my birthday money. My dad said he'd help me pay for the windshield and the exhaust.

wow, someone younger than me, amazing..sux about the knocking, but dont take your car to an autoshop for a timing belt, cmon thats a 10 min change, the knocking could be rod bearings, my dad had trouble with that on his isuzu, your like me, you have plenty of time to work on your car before you get your license so good luck
