i don't think that the wiring is gonna be a problem, but i'll take the help anyways, just the shaving of the handles, like i said before, i never used a welder in my life, and i don't want to f*ck anything up.

I can't help you with welding, but...
1) I know how to install poppers. I'm putting some on my liftback in a few months. (right now I'm working on something, much much neater)
2) I live in Peoria.
3) I could help you fiberglass those door handles off. Its a little messier, but if you can't find someone to do the welding, this will work. The only downside to fiberglassing them is that I don't reccomend doing it this time of year. It takes too long to set in the cooler air.
Welding them off would probably give you a higher quality door, but in the end it's entirely up to you. If you can find someone to help you weld, go for it.
Also.. if you are eliminating the handles, make sure you pick up a full set of solenoids too. You need to get some to operate the handle mechanisim with.

did your kit come with the little spring loaded poppers that eject the door out? I don't see them in the pic.

Well, on my week off, i 'installed' the driver door popper. Having some problems with it. Once in a while it will work just fine. i hit the remote, the sylnoid activates, and the door opens. BUT, it seems that whenever i put back on my door panel, the damn thing doesn't activate. I removed it, and it worked just fine. reinstalled my door panel, and it worked twice, and stopped working. i can hear the main sending unit clicking, but the thing don't move. I think that it is just a bum sylnoid, but i dunno. I'll swap the units tomorrow and see if that makes a difference. Any other ideas from anybody??? PS, if anybody in AZ wants to call me (623) 587 4995 is my home number, i'll be home all day tomorrow, and until monday, i go back to work on tuesday, but will want to get these things working before then.
