odd I had no problems insuring my turbo swapped celica & I sent the insurance company a huge list of modifications & receipts for the comprehensive. There were 4 pages of modifications. & they setup one of their claim reps to look at my car & they said ok we can insure it it's got all the safety features & everything i just paid alot for the comprehensive.

I'm with AmFam insurance.. I told them I'm gonna swap in a turbo engine.. they said Ok, why are you telling us? it don't matter, same insurance prices

yea the liability is still the same no matter what you do to the car basically. But if you have full coverage & comprehensive. like incase I get in a accident & my intercooler gets destroyed, since i gave the receipts & everything to the insurance co. They have to replace it. they cant say well toyota says there never was a intercooler on a 86 GTS. or in case my car gets stolen I will be compensated for everything I have in the car not just a 86 GTS
